18 seconds 1st june

There’s been a few waves about this week, nothing amazing, but each day has had something worth paddling out for and mostly everyone coming in reasonably satisfied with their play in the ocean.Today, I thought it might have got turned up a notch, forecasts were predicting an 18 second wave period (very rare that we get such a long period on the east coast of Australia) this normally translates into a much better quality swell and normally stacks more power. Well it did increase the size and strength of the waves, they were probably the biggest we had all week but it wasn’t really cooking, a little disappointing really, had higher expectations, gotta learn to keep the froth levels a little lower…. talking of froth levels have you seen the predictions for next week??? 7 meter swell hitting on Wednesday arv!!! holy smokes… it could get interesting

swell is a touch bigger today, southern corners are the spots

monotone speed blurring last yesterday arv

shut ya eyes and hope for the best.

touch of coastal bird watching

There was a neat little “glass-off” session late yesterday arv… keep an eye on those winds for the late one
