changeable 14th December

You had to be hiding from the wind today. A decently southerly wind is having it’s way with the coast at the moment. Most open beaches blew out early morning, but if you were at a southern corner when the sun burst through it was close to paradise. Such a big difference between the protected bays and the open stretches. It’s not just the swell size, it’s the comfort level, cars rocking up to the open beaches are just doing a quick u-turn, while people in the protected bays have their deck chairs out and they don’t look like going anywhere.

today’s gone through many changes – a cool, cloudy but colourful start was replaced by dull greyness and then bam the sun came out later and it was blue day…. its back to clouds as I write this, probably get a thunderstorm tonight to top it off.

Just before 9am – southerly swell still hanging in there, it’s not amazing but was worth a paddle before the wind got too much for it

lunchtime – when the sun was out

grey morning with head high, wind affected waves

Quick enjoy the day….. pity it wasn’t like this all day
