coffs wonderland 14th august

The fresh touch of that morning offshore breeze, the warm winter sun drying the salt crystals on your face between sets, the cool water duck dives through the clear blue water… oh yeah this is the sort of morning you don’t want to be anywhere else. After 3 days of howling southerlies and outta control surf we finally have the perfect morning with the Coffs coast returning to the wonderland it is. Pretty sure Huey has plenty more days like this up his sleeve too… what a day!!

little sharks

One of our followers and surfers that crosses this website every now and then; Ben Donnelly sent in this picture of his foot yesterday. He was walking out at Arrawarra around 6am on Sunday and something latched on to his foot. He reckons it took a bit to shake it off and when he managed to get rid of it he made a bee-line back to the beach. He reckons it was probably a small wobbegong shark. Apparently fisherman catch a fair few of them around the point…anyway watch out for the little critters, or at least try not to stand on their poor little heads.

joske’s love affair with surfing

A beautifully made clip about the 3 lads in the Joske family from Valla/Nambucca Heads who live, eat, breath and love surfing… so much can be learnt from these guys… following what you love will lead you to happiness!
