dark n stormy 6th dec

Some stronger, juicier waves are coming in from the south this morning. Good to have some power back under the feet again, even if the sacrifice is that it feels like winter again. What’s the go with this cold weather?? anyway best not to complain if its going to improve the waves. A better quality swell should develop tomorrow with lighter winds…frothing

Christmas shopping – idea 1

Having trouble coming up with chrissy presents, I know sometimes it can be a struggle, so for the next few weeks we are going to be dropping a gift idea every day to help you on your way.

today’s tip – Go Pro cameras

The surf pack from Go Pro… available now at the Coopers Jetty store

Most of you would have heard about the Go Pro cameras by now. They are probably one of the highest selling cameras worldwide at the moment and with good reason. You can get these baby’s into places camera’s have never been before. With their tiny physical size and various mounts there’s nothing they can’t do.  The quality is damn impressive for a camera of it’s price and size (heck one of Harley Ingleby’s shots from his GO PRo made a cover of Australian Longboarding magazine, and he has had several published since) The video capability is impressive as well, Ive started using one on top of my housing and its pulling some good moving footage.

But just recently they have been improved. They are now twice as powerful than the original HD go pro. With an 11 megapixel sensor, the lens is much sharper, remote control via WI-FI remote and improved video functions. And they haven’t bumped up the price…. its still retailing at Cooper Jetty store for $399 for the surf pack and the outdoor pack. Go see Garth and the team at the Jetty store to check them out

Get some pretty Rad angles with these cameras
