groundwork 11th feb

It’s a surf day peeps!! we’ve got a couple of sweet tube shots care of some handy groundwork by John Craig. For most of us, the morning surf check happens at our local beach about 10 minutes after we crawl outta bed, but Johnny’s morning surf check starts the afternoon before. He drives up and down the coast while the arvo onshores are blowing and scopes out all the sandbars and what they are doing on certain tides and makes his call for the next day. He is then up well before light standing on a sand dune seeing if his predictions were right….. I reckon this morning he got it pretty spot on.

John Craig getting the rewards for putting in a bit of searching….. had these pipes all to himself

It was a good morning for surfin…. and fishin, he had another 4 of these!!

Shot from the land first thing… but I had to grab the water housing after he got this sweet insider

glassy, sunny, swell and the water temp is like a bath

Click here to see a few more pics from this morning

nice sunrise this morning too…. oh and this isn’t the same spot as today’s action shots
