The Coffs coast is tricky place to nail the best surf each day, we haven’t got a “go to” break like Snapper rocks, Lennox Head or Angourie to hit up when the swell fills in. The best spot to surf changes on a daily basis and it can be any of one of the 30 plus breaks in the 60km stretch. Its just knowing which one at which hour is the challenge, a challenge I like, but today it got the better of me. I set out in the darkness this morning with plans to score good. Did the homework, dialled in the calculations on a few choice spots and we were pumped!… calculations were wrong! heads were dipped, hopes were dashed. If there’s more than 2-3 foot of swell and light winds at least one of our breaks will always be off its head.. I’m gonna try again to find that spot tomorrow.. hope you found todays pumping spot!
