There’s a kid in Emerald Beach who surfs damn good, his name is Zane Coleman and we have just shot and edited a clip of him for a Waves magazine competition called “Haystack”. The idea is to find an unknown talent and then set them up for a year with sponsorship and management to get things happening for them. I reckon it’s tailor made for a grom like Zane. So we did some shooting made a one minute clip (thats all that was allowed) and put it up for the world to see. I reckon he has a good shot at the title so far. Seems like everyone under the age of 21 can do air reverses’s really well but not much else. Zane can do em too, but he can also do turns and he does em with flow and style.
