home 22nd march

Back in Coffs this morning and have been greeted with a handy looking east swell. An overhead wave is something I didn’t really see on my travels on the sunshine coast in Queensland. I’ve heard that the mid north coast has had some tasty waves while I’ve being away. We’ve got it pretty good around these parts, Coffs seems to pick up the north and and south swells and is rarely without a rideable wave. How’s this morning?… I go and photograph one of our most popular beaches and there’s only 5 dudes in the water. I then consider which of the 4 or 5 beaches nearby that I should go surfing at, and hope that there will be someone else to share the waves with….. nice to be back at home

Callum Mackie just after 7 this mornin

apparently the moon is big at the moment…. the tides sure have  been extreme

Garth Mackie loves a long lefthander… he got plenty this morning

Nice posts from Noosa; thanks Tom, brings back some memories! Nice to have you back this morning – saw the lineup on the way to work and thought: “Wish I had a post on this morning’s action in the waves .” And surprise, surprise – Signed, Sealed, Delivered! Almost felt like I was back out there.
