The east swell started pulsing on Saturday morning and by the arvo there were some bomb sets exploding inside protected coves. It didn’t get close to the size of the last big swell, but it provided the weekend crew with something to have a crack at. Swell dropped by half on Sunday which left some fun waves on the open beaches and a few good late afternoon sessions went down in the northern corners and that’s where we are going to have to focus our attention for the week ahead. Moderate northerly winds are predicted for the next 5 days, so suss out the backbeaches, get your timing right and you should get a surf in most days.
Saturday arvo bomb set…. this one broke inside a fairly protected bay….all of today’s pics are from the Saturday arvo sess
Jared Neal ripping the top off a tasty lefthand treat
Marky Merrikin was getting a wave every 45 seconds
The early full tide is choking out most of our beachies with this smaller swell. Mid morning should start producing the goods in the northern corners.. see ya tomorrow with some fresh pics!
