look back at june 2011

We are already half way through July today, so I thought it was time to put up our favourites from the month of June. Poor ole June had a tough act to follow coming off the back of May, where we had an amazing run of swell and perfect conditions, while it didn’t come close to the pump fest that happen’d in May, June still provided the occasional stella moment…. below will give you a short taste of the second month of winter 2011….

On the 3rd of June there were some crazy slabs unloading on the east coast…. Johnny Craig was right amongst it

the big swells didn’t last for long, but the offshore winds did…. Brett Caller’s fish hook on the 6th June

It’s been a year for ultra cold mornings…. air temp when this shot was taken…2.5 degrees (9th June) we have had even colder mornings during July… brrrrr

went up to Yamba for a few days during June… it was nice and sunny but super cool with a stiff westerly on it

21st of june had some damn fine waves breaking…. but I didn’t see anyone surfing em (empty wave shots only) got a few hours to myself and I had 6 decent beach breaks to choose from

Zane Coleman punt late in the month of June.
