The third month of 2011 is already history and that means we are right in the heart of autumn. A time of offshore winds, long period groundswells, leftover warm currents and clean, crisp mornings. I reckon we are still waiting for our prime surf season to really kick in, we’ve had the odd glimpse of autumn gold but nothing like last year…… so far. Today’s post are just a few frozen moments from the month of March.

Sand-pit at a Coffs back beach – 9th march
The beautiful Noosa Heads. The ST surf images van took a ten-day trek north in the middle of March to photograph the “Noosa festival of surfing” such a great surf gathering…. can’t wait for next year!!
Noosa Heads logger Harrison Roach surfing in the noserider final
Simon Anderson – inventor of the thruster, surfing in the legends expression session up in Noosa
Got back from the small waves of Noosa… and the Coffs coast was doing this. Apparently it had been this good and better for the whole time I was away…. early on the 24th march.
