moments in september 2011

Near flatness over the last few days gives us a chance to post up a few of our favourite moments from the month of September. The first month of spring isn’t known for its epic swells and there were no real surprises this year. But if you get up early and escape the mid morning onshore breeze you can score some fun clean beachbreaks this time of year and there were a few such days in september..

First day of spring…first day of september, it was sunny, clean and fun. Ryan Bienefelt was all over the morning sessions

Brayden Templeton and his old man rarely miss the early

These photos stirred up a ton of interest on the 26th september, I was answering emails left right and center after Mat Wyborn’s party at a yet to be released wave pool.

A solid but lumpy swell hit the coffs coast around the 27th september, Mark Merrikin found this protected bay… one of the only surfable spots around

Spent 3 days in the beautiful Byron Bay half through September on a filming job. You should see the results on this website in the near future

whales and dolphins everywhere at the moment

Plenty of waves around in September, that might not have been amazing but they were there

Special thanks goes out to our sponsors who have kept us up and  running for another month…. Coopers surf centers, The Surf Club and Solitary Islands surf school
