no work 29th December

Woolgoolga beach was packed today!! so many swimmers, clubbies, families, surf groms, sun bakers all cramming into the protected little main beach of Woopi. The population on the Coffs coast doubles in the two weeks after Christmas and when the sun comes out a lot of them hit the sand…. and why not, so much of the year all these beaches are near deserted even on the sunny days, so its good to see people enjoying life outside of work, school and the regular daily duties.

Happy surf grom at the Solitary Island surf school – woolgoogla main beach

early this morning on the open beaches looked really choppy, this southerly wind looks like hanging around for a few more days yet. Southern corners are the ticket

Not even the most hypo kid will out last the energy “coach” Darryn Quigley has… he runs around all day getting the kids stoked on the ocean. Never stops, he’s like the Energiser Bunny!!

Bigger lads out the back… see a few more here
