reefy chunks 22nd july

Late Friday post today… didn’t shoot till around lunch and then only got a chance to load em up at 7 o’clock at night. We ended up photographing a little reef break today that was throwing some super mean looking chunks of water. Normally a domain for the bodyboarders of Coffs who charge it whenever a south swell hits the east coast. It’s an epic looking wave from the water, its first time Ive been out there, but it won’t be the last… I like the look of the place!!

fair bit of water in this slab hay??

John Craig stand-up amongst the boogs

Had a major blow-out with me focusing on a heap of shots today, I had it switched to the wrong focusing mode and a heap of Johnny Craig’s deep pits looked epic except that were slightly off sharp, this is one of the outta focus duds, that I had to include…..so devo!! sorry dude

What it looked like from the land

This is Rik Knoxy…..

…he was one stoked little unit, got a heap of barrels. He’s also a legend cause he lent me a body board lesh (I shot with a 100mm lens from a bodyboard for most of today’s pics) better idea than swimming

Dry rock just behind Riko on this one
