Today the Haira vessel (our home for the last 5 days) took us on adventure to the southern atolls to find some uncrowded waves. With the swell predicted to rise our surf guide made the call to motor 2 hours south. First break we pulled up to looked sweet enough, a lefthander peeling in front of a shipwrecked boat, one that run a ground only 3 months ago. It made for an interesting backdrop but was a hazard when trying to surf around it at high tide. The swell is always a tad smaller down here, but Im pretty sure the peak of the swell is a few days off yet. This left would be all time with double the size… see what happens tomorrow.
The water is even clearer down here if thats possible
pretty much had this break to ourselves all day
