For about 20 minutes this morning I had a killer golden backdrop to work with. The sunrise just had enough room between the horizon cloud cover and the heavy overcast sky above. Lucky for me Alex Swadling was out there and doing most of his surfing above the lip, so I managed to get some nice aerial silhouettes.
The surf was only small, waist high without much power, but conditions were clean and it looks like it might stay glassy for most of the morning. Worth going for a quick paddle, just keep the expectations low.
Alex Swadling bustin the fins out just after 6.30 this morning
Ashley Burns was also out there puttin on a show!
Good day for a fish or longboard…… or if you can surf like Alex, it’s a good day for aerials… I guess
