some love from May

Just the mention of the words “May” brings a smile to the face of surfers living on the east coast of Australia. The final month of Autumn has all the right things going for it. Clean swells are common from the east and south, the skies are generally clear, the offshores winds take over from the summer north-easters and the water temps are still bath warm after months of warm weather. If you don’t get tubed during May you probably won’t for the rest of the year! it’s the time to be merry. 2011 turned on one of the best months of surf for years, so expectations were high coming into May 2012. We did have a few days of pumping surf but nothing like the year before… today’s post has a couple of favourites from last month.
