steaming lines 17th may

I went for a little drive this morning, so that’s why its coming at you a bit later than usual. I was up well before it got light and well before the thermometer was north of 5 degrees….. geez the mornings have been chilly over the last week or so. Anyway turned out it was worth the effort, the swell quality had improved, the offshore winds were again with us and the groundswell lines looked amazing. We are having some sort of run at the moment. Once again I got some epic video footage as well as these snaps above and below. (Sage Joske in the main pic above)

steaming lines of swell just after 6am…. water temp around 22 – air temp around 2

only problem we had this morning was which empty beach break to go out at

Darryn Quigley back in Coffs for a bit and loving it…. slotted around 8.30 this mornin

another morning steam shot

another lineup that we walked away from this morning….. CLICK HERE to see a few more pics

happiest dude in Coffs Harbour yesterday was Nick Coulson

A 13 year old grommet from Emerald Beach was the winner of the Flanagan surfboard comp. All he did was subscribe to our website to win a brand new custom board. We all met up at Jason Flanagan’s shaping bay yesterday afternoon… Nick ordered his new stick and he is super stoked. He said he is using a borrowed board at the moment, so it couldn’t have come at a better time. Made me so happy that this little website of ours has given a ton of joy to a surf stoked grom. Hardly a day goes by that I don’t recieve an email or just someone coming up and saying how much they enjoy the website, this always makes my day and gets me up and out of bed each morning to get the shots and keep the site moving. Thanks to all our subscribers and regulars viewers of this site and of course a special thanks the Flanagan surfboards for putting up this killer prize….maybe next time you will be the major prize winner!!!

the best thing about all this, is that Nick has no idea how much his surfing will improve when he jumps on to a brand new Flanagan in a few weeks time….. go grom looking forward to seeing you rip
