sundee hit-out 30th july
Last Sunday of the month yesterday and that means one thing for Woopi boardriders… its time for their monthly hit-out! and like the previous two months the swell arrived just in time. After some tiny waves through the start of the weekend, Sunday morning dawned with some fun-sized waves and cracking weather. Another great turnout for the club ensured it was a full day event and the grommies were stoked with the new club T-shirts. Division winners included Cooper Moore, Sam Brown, Brayden Templeton, Erik Safstrom, Jake Forge, Michelle Merrikin and Johnny Craig. Bigger southerly swell building throughout this week, it might get interesting!

Jakob & Erik
These guys are two cousins on the Coffs coast (Jakob Dolan & Erik Safstrom) They’re about 15 years of age and they are improving so fast its ridiculous!! A couple of years ago these boys could barely standup… now they are chucking air revs, getting slotted and sliding tail all over the place. This footage was shot by Harley Ingleby from Solitary Islands surf school while these boys were getting some surf coaching…. looks like its paying off (oh nice edit by Erik himself) check the clip below:
