surprise spike! 20th august

Wow… where did that swell come from hay?? surf forecasters and reporters were caught off guard this morning with a unexpected spike in wave size. It was supposed to be only a touch bigger than the weekend.. a weekend that was unremarkable by the way with only clean 1-1.5 foot surf. But the dawn of the working week revealed a tasty south-east swell. These pics were taken at a spot that doesn’t even pick up half of what’s hitting the south swell magnets. Not sure how long its going last, so you better make the most of it… supposed to be tiny for the rest of this week, but then again it wasn’t supposed be like this today!! Happy Monday people..
