surprise spike 2nd november

There is actually a fair bit of swell pushing in today… some set waves were surprising, considering swell forecasters were only callling 2-3 foot. A few of the swell magnets I checked were well overhead at times. At first light the whole ocean looked a little wobbly, the potential for waves was there but it wasn’t really happening. Took a few sunrise snaps and went back for breakie instead, a couple hours later the wind switched to the west and things looked a whole lot neater. Went surfing instead of photos and by the time I came in the northerly was having its way with this open beach (whoops), so it was off to a northern corner to get todays post done.

Swell magnets were pulling some okay size today (bout 1pm)

The ocean looked a little wobbly early on today
