How’s that storm last night eh?? Coffs coast had some ground shaking thunder and massive lightning strikes right up till midnight with plenty of rain to boot. It all came up the coast with a strong southerly change which we were all hopeful of it delivering some long overdue surf. But at 7am there was no real sign of any increase. The tiny swell, that was there looked to be a leftover windswell from the days of north-east winds. It might be worth keeping an eye on it through the day however. Charts are calling 2 meter swell by late this arv… dont get too excited thou. A short wave period will most likely mean a junky, weak windswell that is only tipped to last for 24 hours.
Brett Caller mucking about in the little junky shories (around 6.30am)
Brayden Templeton making some outta not much
wasn’t only the surf that was crappy…. the light for photos was well below par, not the most inspiring morning really
This is a incredibly moving and personal surf clip from one of my favourite film-makers and mate Nathan Oldfield. He shoots with passion, meaning and understanding of real surfing. This is a small section off his full length movie “Seaworthy” its brilliant, most surf shops do stock it or you can download it from HERE
