time machine 15th march

Ahhh..another beautiful day in Noosa Heads….. what I would give to be living here 50 years ago. In near darkness this morning I was trotting down the track past in the inner points on the way out to Tea tree bay, through the national park surrounded by paper barks with fresh organic smells it felt like I was in the sixties, that was until the lineup came into site and there were at least 40 surfers sitting off the take off zone. Amazingly you still get a good amount of waves despite the crowds, but every time I come to Noosa I always think how good it would be to have myself a little time machine, so I could surf these waves without the crew.

Stunner sunset last night!! the east coast of Australia rarely gets great sunsets, so this one was pretty special…. I didn’t have my wide lens with me, but I can assure you these orange/yellow clouds stretched way higher into the sky… perfect evening!

All of the pics in today’s post were taken yesterday at Little Cove, one of the many points in the Noosa setup. The sand seems to be really good at little cove this year and is well suited the the heavy single fin logs. This is an inner point, the further you head out the bigger the waves get, but these guys don’t need big to get their share of fun.

its all about the style up here

doing water photography here is like splashing around in a bath tub…. water temps are beyond just “warm”

Scotts Head logger Jack Lynch has spent some serious hours in the briny over the last few days

Local lad Harrison Roach was the standout performer at Little cove yesterday….. he makes it look so easy
