The low has drifted away from the coast… off to send swell elsewhere and our beaches start to return to something closer to normal. The washing machine effect with multiple rips, currents and mountains of whitewater lasted only 2 days. Friday’s sunrise revealed a more user friendly ocean and there were plenty of crew out making the most of the improved conditions. Southern corners are still the pick and probably will be for the next 3 or 4 days, should be enough swell to keep us all happy too…. if you can’t get out there today…stuck in the office… you could always sneak a peak at the Fiji WCT contest going on right now, they are starting to get that same south swell we just had… they are just about to get underway and its 10-12 foot Cloudbreak!!
