There’s a whole lot of anticipation on the east coast this weekend, it’s all hinging on a powerful low pressure system that is spinning off the bottom of Australia. Forecasters are calling it one of the most intense of the year so far. But so far we aren’t receiving too much of it up this way. A wobbly south swell moved in on us yesterday and there were some fun chunks to ride, but that swell faded overnight and we were left with clean head high waves and the occasional bigger set every 20 minutes. As they low moves across to New Zealand we may see an increase in size with a better direction. I thought Friday may be the bomb day of the week but now I’m looking to Sunday for the gold….lets just hope anyway.
There’s still the odd bigger set out there… but nothing like what this weekend was suppose to cough up. It was 1.5 degrees at 6am this morning, so the dude above in the wetsuit hood was well prepared
still some ripple walls to get into…. just super inconsistent

Andrew Lindsay above and in today’s main pic. He snared the two best waves of the morning. Got his last one on film, as soon as he went the ocean turned off, ya timed in well out there today mate!! CLICK HERE to see a couple more from this mornings sess.
Byron Bay’s Tim Stokes will be setting up at the surf club from 3pm Sunday. Nice way to wind down the weekend listening to some cruisy tunes while over looking Park Beach.. yew
