The swell from below is back on the pump this morning, after some small east swells over the weekend the energy is now coming straight out of the south and pushing some well over head waves into the south facing beachies. An overcast sky made for a pretty sunrise start to the day but it was a curse for my action shots later on in the morning, still its nice to see some more strong winter lines pushing into the east coast…. yeww!!

Thanks so much to all of you guys that voted for the Johnny Craig clip on Innersection over the last week, we had a great response to our clip with nearly 100% positive feedback all frothing on how good John was in the tube and for his searing turns. It was just one old grumpy dude named “Wade” that didn’t like, so we were super stoked with how it was received. Unfortunately we didn’t make it into the top ten which was announced this morning. It was up against some super strong competition, so it will be worth watching the next week to see who makes it into the movie. We still have a local hope in the mix to get behind. Shaun Cansdell has done a clip with Byron filmmaker Ryan Kenny, CLICK HERE to watch it and use your log in deets to put it up there in your top ten
