Emerald Beach shredder; Harley Ingleby has just launched his new website and it’s RAD!!
The current world longboard champ is in the prime of his career and now we can follow his day to day progress via his blog, which neatly fits into this snappy new website. With all the stuff Harley gets up over the year there is sure to be interesting content popping up regularly. One of the latest posts showa a picture of a massive building in Times Square – New York. It has an enormous LCD screen advertisement for Go Pro cameras and the picture is of Harley inside a big tube!.. its a picture that he took from the front of his board…. impressive stuff!!
I get so many good hook-ups when shooting with Harley from the water and that’s because he knows how to make the photographers job easy by being in the right spots at the right time
Gotta say I was stoked when I saw the finished website. I have watched Harley’s journey since he was 17. We have had a surf/photo partnership that goes back about 7 or 8 years. My first published surf photos were of a young Harley Ingleby testing out boards from different eras. His Dad; Mark has an amazing collection of surfboards which we drew upon to form an ongoing article named “Performance Art” in Australian Longboarding magazine. Mark penned the words, Harley surfed em and wrote a performance report and I scored a regular feature for photos in each edition. It was an ideal introduction to the world of surf photography, one that I am very thankful for. From there we have teamed up many times for various projects and will no doubt continue the partnership into the future.
This pic was taken back in 2003. It was the first of the “performance art” boards that we tested. Back in the days of Velvia slide film. Harley jumped on any of these boards and shredded the guts of of em… so versatile!
Harley’s attitude typifies what “ST surf images” is trying to convey. First off he loves surfing and the surfing lifestyle, he also knows how good he has got it living on the Coffs coast, he rides all sorts of surf craft depending on the conditions and most of all he is always up for a surf no matter what the waves are like.
not just good in the tube, his “above the lip” act is mental!
Bryn Goode, another surf hound from the Coffs coast was the creative force behind the new Harley Ingleby website and he has totally nailed this one. He makes websites of all shapes and sizes, but is starting to find a little niche in the surfing industry/surfers market. Check him out if you need something done:
Now it time to head to the new Harley website…. drum rollll……CLICK
We choose to run different images for this Harley article, rather than running our favourites, we might save them for another article down the track. So many to choose from!!
