Jay the work experience GROM!!

Last week Jay Bryant from Jetty high school spent a week with us doing some work experience. I took him on a few commercial type shoots during the week, but also got him up early to give him a taste of what we do with our morning surf photography. Already a keen surfer himself he fitted into the slot nicely. I let him loose with one of our old digi cameras and a 70-200mm lens and with just a little bit of coaching he managed to get some very nice looking pictures…. what follow is his favourites pics from two mornings behind the lens…..

some very cool natural framing by the young wipper snapper!

having someone to shoot like Harley Ingleby makes surf photography a whole lot easier, but Jay has captured peak moment of this turn…yew

pulled back landscape shot of a Coffs town beach

A pulled back version of Harley corrupt flip that we both captured back on the 7th June

Nice work Jay….. we wish you all the best with your surfing and photography in the future!!
