When I was up in Noosa last March for the festival of surfing, there was this American dude lurking around the rocks at little cove with tripod and video camera filming and frothing over every noseride, high line trim, barrel that was going down, over the few weeks he got progressively more sunburnt and more stoked…. this dude was Taylor “birdman” Larison. Since then I have followed his little webclips and have now been sent his latest full-lenght feature called the “Koala Khronicles”.

It’s a 100% log fest. All the free surfing that went down during the Noosa festival. Little cove had a crazy little logging sandbar that was tailor made for the fancy footwork of crew like Harrison Roach, Thomas Bexon, Mark Sharp, Kameon Brown, Josh Constable and a stack of others.

There’s a water shot in the movie that shows the very moment that Im taking this photo. I’m the little guy with the red camera and the helmet for those playing at home.

It’s shot in Australia by an American, so what theme do you reckon he came up with??? Beer is the answer. The hat tip to Aussie beer AD’s are run throughout the film… the AD”s would no doubt be amusing to the rest of the world with David Boon and the like representing….. I suppose Aussie’s do like their beer. Anyway if you are into log riding perfect points this clip will stoke your motor. Plenty of tightly cut clips of some great surfers having mountains of fun.
