st surf images

Rip Curl recently hired ST surf images to film (that’s right.. film not photograph) the Gromsearch that was held in Coffs Harbour earlier this month. The filming thing is a new dimension for us, but one which we plan on expanding on over the next few years. The footage was cut together and edited by the boys back in the Rip Curl office. The conditions were average the light was worse, but the surf action put on by the competitors was epic….. some of these guys aren’t even 12 years old yet, but they are pulling crazy stuff… local shredder Mark Merrikin ended up with a fourth place in the 16′s final, which is his best result so far, he is in the clip on 3 or 4 of his waves from the semi and final….have a check!
